The Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and the Agrarian Chamber of the Czech Republic enables the resolution of disputes related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets through arbitration proceedings. In doing so, the Czech Republic may join countries such as Poland and Japan among the few in the world that allow cryptocurrency disputes to be resolved through arbitration.
The topic was introduced on 16 October 2025 at the Crypto Business Prague 2025 conference, which focused on the use of modern cryptocurrency tools in corporate finance and business strategies. At the conference, the President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce, Mgr. Zdeněk Zajíček, announced that the Arbitration Court is prepared to handle potential disputes arising within the cryptocurrency industry.
The Arbitration Court has the necessary expertise and procedural instruments suitable for resolving property disputes in the field of cryptocurrencies. The first ten experts with knowledge of cryptocurrencies and digital assets are already available and ready to adjudicate such cases through arbitration proceedings.
Advantages of resolving cryptocurrency disputes at the Arbitration Court: expertise (specialization in the crypto industry), confidentiality, flexibility (choice of language and procedural rules), speed (possibility of expedited proceedings), and enforceability of arbitral awards both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
